Our Story on Waiheke

The u3a movement found its home on Waiheke Island in October 2020, bringing together a vibrant community of lifelong learners. Rooted in the philosophy of shared knowledge and collaborative exploration, our branch officially codified its mission and operational structure with the ratification of the 2025 Constitution.

Today, we are proud to be a thriving hub of curiosity and connection, boasting a strong membership of 124 active members as at August 2026. Whether you are leading a Study Group or Shared Interest Group, attending a Monthly Meeting, or simply enjoying the company of fellow members, u3a Waiheke is driven entirely by the passion and dedication of our community.
